- People use technology while hanging out with friends.
- People use technology to meet other people.
- Adults don't have control on the way teenagers use the internet.
- Teenagers know more about technology than parents
- Parents can use parental control.
- Students don't read because they read summaries online.
- Turn it in is a webpage that looks for plagiarism in papers.
- Every kind of person has a Myspace or Facebook.
- Everyone has access to the internet.
-.Everyone can find out what you post or do.
- Predators on the internet.
- Parents try to be aware of what you are doing online.
- You can find help online.
- People do things online that they would never do in person.
- Cyber bullying
DID surprise me:
- Teenagers use it to express themselves.
- Teenagers use it to make more friends.
- Students know more about technology than teachers.
- Students had to do their papers in class so they don't get extra information from the internet.
- Relationships online but not in person.
- People confront each other through internet and not in the face.
- Internet allows them to express their identity.
- Stalkers are people who get obsessed
- Teenagers made a competition of who had more friends.
- Parents ask their children to give them their passwords.
- 1/7 kids were sexual solicited online.
- Parties used to be with computers (watching videos, playing games, etc.)
- Start thinking about the kids less as victims and more as participants.
- When people are online, they are the real them but in person they are not.
- the internet has created the greatest generation gap.
CHANGED about technology:
- iPod are more advanced now and they are touch.
- Cellphones have changed too. They are more advanced and the are called "smart phones"
- Facebook users has increased.
- Myspace is not popular anymore.
- Social media links increased.
- There are a lot of webpages that can help you with everything.
- First the entertainment was the computer but now you can have it in your phone too.
- People are more aware now of the consequences.
- People are more in danger now than before.
- Schools are adapting more technology now.
